Fundraising 

To help us Fundraise much needed money for each of the chosen Brain Condition Charities you can choose to participate in or donate to any of the 4 events below.

If you do decide to participate, we encourage you to either make a donation yourself or to raise funds by setting up a fundraising page on iDonate and encouraging friends, family & colleagues to contribute.

Setting up an iDonate page is fairly straightforward and the step by step instructions are outlined below.

If you would like to do a Swim challenge in support of our 4th event the Henley Mermaids Bristol Channel Relay contact us here  and we will help you set it up.

10K run/walk on March 20th

SunriseForBrainConditions 10K run/walk on March 20th. It is a Virtual events so pick your route and plan your run/walk. Ask you Friends and Family to sponsors you by making a donation on the following link: https://www.idonate.ie/SFBC10K

100K Cycle on 20/21st March

SunriseForBrainConditions 100K Cycle on 20/21st March (Spring Solstice Weekend).
To join in simply pick a route within your 5Km limit and cycle as much as you can -up to 100K on the 20/21st March.

Please also share the link above and ask others to join in the cycle or just to support your Charity Cycle fundraise. All support and participation will be very welcome & appreciated.

Virtual Climb/Walk UpCroaghPatrick: 1-27th June

This event will go ahead even if we can’t do the actual climb.

The Challenge = (27,000 steps = 20.5 Km) = Croagh Patrick Climb.

Walk, Run, Dance, Climb your stairs or whatever way you choose. Do it anytime during June 1st-27th 2020. Do it once, twice or more…..How many Virtual Croagh Patrick’s can you do?

Set your Target (whatever you think is a good challenge for you),

Post it on Social Media and tag/challenge 5 others using #sunriseupcroaghpatrick & #SunriseForBrainConditions.

Post photos of your progress (record sheet or app count) and videos of yourself doing steps to motivate your donors.

Prizes will be awarded for the best posts uploaded before midnight June 26th 2021.

Build up your steps to hit your target during June. Do it in your home, garden or during your daily exercise outdoors.

Instructions for Setting Up A Fundraising Page on iDonate

1) Go to https://www.idonate.ie/SunriseForBrainConditions and you will see the page shown here on the left.

2) Click the green button marked “Start fundraising” which is indicated on the image.

3)Enter your cause: Type in and select the following charities : Huntington’s Disease Association of Ireland HDAI, Dublin Neurological Institute DNI, Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association IMNDA, MS Ireland

4) Select page type -> choose ‘Event’

5) What event are you taking part in? : Virtual SunriseForBrainConditions Up Croagh Patrick 2021 is already selected

6) Enter your fundraising target and click next

7) Upload a profile image. This helps your supporters know it is you.

8) Enter your email address

9) Follow the indicated steps to complete your fundraising page setup. You will receive an email to active the page. Once activated, you can then login to your iDonate.ie account and customise the page further.
